I help busy families simplify meals with five-ingredient recipes and practical systems that work, even when you have a really full plate.

I'm Kate.

WELCOME TO MY CORNER OF THE INTERNET

I wanted dinner to be a time to slow down and connect over a good meal, but most nights, it felt like chaos. We needed a change.

It started with simple shifts. And little by little, it started to feel better.

Then one day, my friend Jaime called and said, “Dinner always seems easy for you — can you help me?”

As I walked her through what had been working for us, it hit me just how far we’d come — and I realized I wanted to help other families get to that place too.

I started sharing a few of our go-to meals and strategies online, and that eventually turned into Full Plate Plan.

Now I help other busy families do the same through simple strategies, seasonal meal ideas, and small routines that make dinner feel easier, more doable, and even kind of fun.

If dinner’s felt hard lately, you’re in the right place.

For a long time, dinner was the hardest part of my day. With little kids, busy evenings, and no plan, i felt like I was always winging it.

I'd love to help you too

Family dinner happens a whole lot more often when it's easy.

My Mantra

Chipotle-style burrito bowls with all the toppings. Everyone makes their own, everyone’s happy — and it comes together fast.

favorite meal

Get  to know me

A bowl of homemade popcorn, a quiet house after bedtime, and something mindless on TV, like Love Is Blind.

Guilty Pleasure

Any Minnesota lake. I feel most at home on the water. The sunshine, the sound of the water, the boat rides, all of it. It’s my happy place.

favorite place

Greece, Italy, the Maldives (for those overwater huts). My bucket list is basically all travel. I’m always dreaming about the next trip.

my bucket list

Light roast, black. I like to keep it simple. But every once in a while, I’ll go for a vanilla latte. And I'm Team PSL in the fall.

Coffee order

Free time? What’s that? ;) If I get a minute, I’m probably out on the neighborhood trails with my dog and a good podcast.

free time activities

Nutrition is important, but I choose to focus more on making dinnertime something our family looks forward to.

Meal planning shouldn’t feel like a chore. A simple system frees up your time, energy, and brain space.

Systems make space.

A home-cooked meal doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Dinner is about feeding your people, not impressing anyone.

Good enough is good enough.
